Playing poker in Thailand - A story
It had already begun to get cold, dark and blustery in Sweden when I and a friend decided to head south to escape from the winter in Sweden. Not yet another winter we thought. Our destination became Thailand with Bangkok as our headquarter.
Playing poker on the Internet in Thailand has its benefits. To mention some examples, we have the weather. The weather here is perfect for Scandinavians like us, with about 30° and the sun shining almost every day. Also the living standard here is exceptionally cheaper here then in Sweden. You get five times more for the money because the Swedish crown is more expensive then the Thai bath. With a Swedish minimum salary you can still manage to live down here as a high roller!
I have access to three swimming pools, sauna, a steam room, gym and more, everything in the same building as I’m living in. All that, plus a magnificent view over Bangkok from the 43: Th floor. For all this luxury I pay just as much rent as I used to do when I was living in a simple apartment in Sweden. Some extra expenses such as electricity, water and a house maid has to be added to the rent. All this makes it so much easier to focus on poker when all the basic needs are satisfied. It simply optimizes your game. Everything that usually would be boring and just takes up your time, things like washing the dishes cook and cleaning disappears when you have the opportunity to, for a small amount of money, pay someone else to take care of those chores for you. That way, you can pay your attention on making cash playing poker.
My spare time down here is more fun and exciting then what is was in Sweden. We chose Bangkok because it’s a city that can offer extremely much to do, every time of the day and every day of the week. The ability for transportation is also very simple; you can easily fly down to the islands in the south or visit some other destination, in or around the country. The possibility to hit the town and buy yourself an exotic drink and party alongside models and upper class people in the hottest clubs beats most of the things. In Thailand you always feel like a VIP.
Thailand is perfect for a poker player that wants to develop their game and really feel alive. In conclusion I can say that Thailand gives you a true chance to play poker and feel good.
Or just sabaai, sabaai, as we say here in Thailand.
