Online casino players survey

eCogra, an independent British certifier of online gaming sites, released the results of a questionnaire filled by 10865 online casino and poker players from 96 countries and working in 37 different sectors.

Some interesting highligts from survey, from an online casino prospective: - 54.8% of the players are female - 29.5% are aged 46-55 - 37% plays 2-3 times per week, for 1-2 hours

This survey provides some very interesting information about the online casino industry, its demographics and other players´ customs. Considering it has been run in partnership with University of Nevada (Reno) and Nottingham Trent University, it also has a solid academic background. In addition to the survey, some focus groups have been created across five markets (USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Sweden) that are strategic for the online gaming industry. The 94 partecipants responded to advertisements placed in relevant online and offline media, and were screened to make sure they are real online casino and online poker players.
